01.06.2010 – tomorrow, at the L. N. Gumilev Eurasian National University, a meeting with the representative of the Saudi Arabia Ministry for Islam Affairs in Russia and CIS, Doctor Madjid bin Abdelaziz bin Naser at-Turky will take place.

During the meeting, the high-rank guest will deliver a lecture for the professors and students of the university and present a report on the political, economic, cultural and social relations between Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia.     Madjid at-Turky graduated from the Islam University. He graduated from the Propaganda and Information College majoring in “Mass Media and Public Relations”. Having completed his Master’s degree in journalism at the Islam University, he defended his Candidate’s dissertation at the same university and his Doctor’s dissertation at the Moscow State University.     It is important to note that, among the research papers written by the scholar, there is a paper titled “Nazir Turekulov. The Soviet Union Ambassador in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Letters, diaries and reports”. This book, telling about the first Kazakh diplomat, promoted the development of cooperation between Kazakhstan and the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Currently, his research paper titled “The Analysis of the position of Islam in Russia and CIS countries” is ready for publication.                                                                                                                    Kazinform
