29.06.2010 - President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev proposed the creation of the OSCE Centre on Tolerance and Nondiscrimination, speaking today at the opening of the High-level OSCE Conference on Tolerance and Nondiscrimination in Astana. |
“Tolerance, along with trust, tradition, and transparency is the main direction of Kazakhstan's chairmanship in the OSCE”, said President of the Republic Of Kazakhstan. In this context, the Head of State considers it appropriate to examine a proposal for creation of the OSCE Centre on Tolerance and Nondiscrimination. “Central Asia is a region with a complex ethnic structure of the population. Here, different peoples have lived side by side for centuries. The most bitter consequences of the conflict in Kyrgyzstan is that the mistrust may appear among other peoples of the region. This is a significant challenge to the stability in the region, which threatens all OSCE participating States”, said Nursultan Nazarbayev. SOURCE: KAZINFORM |
