Today, a regular plenary session of the chamber was held in the Senate of the Parliament with participation of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.

According to the agenda of the session, members of the Parliament, in concordance with clause 2, article 58 of the RK Constitution, released Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev from the position of the Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan due to a transfer to another appointment.

In accordance with clause 1, article 58 of the RK Constitution, Kairat Mami was elected as the Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
