He said about it yesterday in the WIEF opening.

According to him, it is needed for establishment of the new direction in the economic cooperation, and the resources of ummah countries (Moslem community) "allow forming a powerful financial pool for investment cooperation".

 

"Taking into consideration the lag of the Islamic world countries from the leading scientific-technological trends, we propose to create the international centre of innovations with participation of the concerned countries of the Organization of the Islamic Conference", - Nazarbayev proposed.

For the support of small and medium businesses he proposed to create the special WIEF working group and "in its premises to discuss the establishment of the special fund of small and medium business under the Islamic Development Bank".

"We are interested in cooperation with Islamic countries, involvement of Islamic financing instruments. According to the estimates of experts, the potential for the growth of Islamic investment into Kazakhstan in the coming years constitutes up to 10 billion dollars", - he noted.
