1960 Graduated from the Political Science Faculty, Korean Yense University.

1960 Journalist of "Dona Ilbo" Newspaper;

1979 Deputy head of the parliamentary fraction of the New Democratic Party;

1980 Press-Secretary of the Democratic Party of Korea;

1988 Head of the parliamentary fraction of the Party for peace and democracy;

1989 Special Advisor to the President of South Korea;

1990 Chairman of the Committee on Education and Sports of the National Assembly;

1991 Delegate of the National Assembly at the Conference of the International Post Union in Hengyang;

General Secretary of the Democratic Party (DP)

1993 Member of the Supreme Council of DP;

Representative of the DP Special Committee on investigation of the incident with the democratic demonstration in Quanzhu City

1995 Co-Chairman of the Central Executive Council of the Democratic Party on Integration;
