He was born on 27 December 1933.

In 1959 he graduated from Arab Language Faculty in Spiritual University "Al-Azhar".

In 1968 he received the PhD degree at a University in Germany.

1969-79 - lecturer, assistant, professor of the Philosophy Department at the faculty of theological basics, Cairo University.       

1978-1980 - head of the department of ideology and philosophy at the faculty of theological basics, Cairo University.

1987-1995 - dean of the faculty of theological basics at Cairo University.  

1995-1996 - Vice-rector at Al-Azhar University.

From 1996 - Minister of Vakufs of ARE.

Working Abroad:

1972-1976 - Lecturer at Tripoli University in Libya;

In 1980-1984 and 1989-1991 he was a lecturer at Qatar University.

Membership in Scientific Academies:

Member of the Centre of Islamic Studies at Al-Azhar University, delegate from Al-Azhar University in theological conferences.

Chairman of the Egyptian Association of Philosophers.

Member of the Egyptian Science Academy.

Member of the Egyptian Writers' Union.

Member of the Philosophy Committee under the Supreme Council on Cultural Affairs of Egypt.

Member of the European Academy of Science and Arts in Austria.

He took part in more than 20 scientific conferences in Europe (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, France, England and Spain) and Arab countries.

In 1988 he received the international award for achievements in social sciences. He is the author of books on philosophy, Islamic ideology and moral.
