1994  Receives the PhD in Bible Theology of Lateran Pontifical University;

2003  Master's degree in study of Islam at the Pontifical Institute on Arabic and Islamic Studies;

1994- present   Senior expert on Islam of the Pontifical Council on inter-religious dialogue;

He is a teacher of Islamic Law at the Pontifical Institute on Arabic and Islamic Studies.
